Having a vision to reach the Deaf community with the gospel and provide a place for them to worship freely, Pastor Doug Seymour, his wife Melanie, and their children, Derek and Kayla, started this ministry in 1999. At that time, they didn’t fully realize how the beauty of sign language would enhance the worship experience for all hearing individuals. More importantly, in those early days, it was impossible to foresee what a blessing the Deaf themselves would be to the hearing members of the ministry. So, what started as a ministry to the Deaf became a “family” where Deaf and Hearing minister to one another.
